A bunch of stuff :

1) Last night The Colbert Report did a segment on “Difference Maker” Roy Den Hollander, the douchebag MRA lawyer who’s on a crusade against the evil feminist institution of “Ladies Night” at bars. Here’s the video. He reveals, among other things, that he is currently single (hey ladies!), and that he is taking a hip hop dance class. He treats us all to a display of his dance moves, and, trust me, it is a treat.  (Oh, and here's Amanda Marcotte's classic take on the dude and his quest.) 

2    2) I’ve reposted my Scott Adams: I meant to do that piece on Feministe. It’s basically identical to the one posted here, but maybe Adams will show up again in the comments.

      3) The BAD BOY COCK CAROUSEL T-SHIRTS ARE HERE!!! Well, here. The art,  by JohnnyKaje,  is officially AWESOME. There are several  variations,  some with the phrase “bad boy cock carousel,” and some  without. (Either way, the shirt will make an excellent conversation piece.)  I haven’t yet gotten around to putting the graphics onto other products yet, but will soon. If you want any product in particular, let me know in the comments below.

"We hunted the mammoth": Always hilarious!

My second guest post has gone up on Feministe. In it, I introduce the Feministe audience to a Man Boobz classic: the "we hunted the mammoth to feed you" quote, in all of its original glory. (By the way, t-shirts are still available, and they're pretty snazzy!)

Also, Scott Adams himself  has responded in the Feministe comments section to my post about him. Some highlights of his, er, argument:

Is this an entire website dedicated to poor reading comprehension? I don’t think one of you understood the writing. You’re all hopping mad about your own misinterpretations. ... 

In this case, the content of the piece inspires so much emotion in some readers that they literally can’t understand it. Wow. Just, wow. How narcissistic and delusional do you have to be to even type out that last bit, much less post it on the internet for all to see? 

I wonder if Scott Adams would agree with the "we hunted the mammoth to feed you" guy? I'm sort of thinking that he just might.

I'm guest blogging on Feministe

Pre-internet bloggers in action.

Just a note: For the rest of the week -- through Sunday -- I'll be guest blogging on Feministe. My first post there is a slightly reworked version of my recent Scott Adams post here. (I also posted something introducing myself to the Feministe crowd.) I'll post pointers here every time I post something there. Just so you know, comments there are a lot more heavily moderated than comments here.

I'm also going to be posting here too, of course, though my posts may be a little on the short side.

I'm not quite sure what's wrong with her head; I don't think it's a side effect of the shirt, as I have one of these shirts of my own and I still look vaguely human.

The Good Men Project Magazine is running a bunch of articles on the Men's Rights Movement this week. My contribution to the discussion, looking at misogyny in the Men's Rights movement, will be going up tomorrow. But in the meantime, check out what they've got up now, including pieces from Amanda Marcotte, Hugo Schwyzer, and, at the other end of the spectrum, Paul Elam, who seems to be trying to tone it down a bit, at least for this audience. Mammoths and Cupcakes and t-shirts, oh my! So far we've got 5 t-shirt designs, illustrating 2 different boob utterances: "We hunted the mammoth to feed you," and "Underneath that fun cupcake is a MONSTER." You can pick the color and quality of the t-shirt, put the designs on a hoodie or a baby doll t-shirt or pretty much whatever you want. There are also stickers, coffee mugs, and an assortment of other swag. And I take requests: if there is something that Zazzle sells that you want to have a Man Boobz graphic on, let me know in the comments and I'll make it available.

Order now! Zazzle has a coupon for $5 off on t-shirts (the coupon code is listed on Zazzle); it expires on Monday. 

Big thanks to JohnnyKaje, who designed the t-shirts and provided a lovely mammoth cartoon (and who's got a Zazzle store too), and Shaenon, who drew that deliciously monstrous cupcake. Thanks also to the folks at board.crewcial.org who gave me the idea for the t-shirts in the first place, and suggested the now-legendary mammoth quote.

All profits will go to charity -- specifically, to Planned Parenthood. I'm offering the T-shirts at a variety of different costs, depending on how much you want to donate. With the T-shirts, some are being sold with only a 10% royalty fee -- the lowest that Zazzle allows -- for those who can't afford a big donation; others are sold with a 30% or 50% royalty. The rest of the swag is being sold with a royalty fee of 20%. The amount you end up donating to PP depends on how expensive the item is and what the royalty rate is. For a Man Boobz postcard, you'll be donating all of 22 cents; for one of the more expensive t-shirt options at a 50% royalty, you'll be donating about $20. (The royalty fee goes to me; I will send it along to PP.)

Ten Thousand Maniacs, and by "maniacs" I mean "comments."

This blog hit a little milestone last night: someone posted the 10,000th comment here. (It was Natasha, actually.) Which means, of course, that if I had a dong for every comment posted here, I could be carrying this lovely 10,000 dong bill in my wallet. In South Vietnam. In 1975.

It also means that this blog is stirring up a lot of discussion. When I first started this blog, most of the comments came from angry manosphere snipers, many of them anonymous. There were also a relative handful of commenters who actually liked what this blog was doing, and who were willing to take on the Army of Doucheness. This relative handful has turned into a nice little community. I hope I can keep you all entertained and/or outraged enough to stick around.

We're also only a few thousand hits -- two or three days -- away from another milestone: a quarter of a million page views. Which is really kind of awesome.

Yet I know we could easily reach twice as many readers; maybe five times, maybe even ten. But I kind of need your help for that. Getting this blog linked to -- on Reddit, on Twitter, on Facebook, on other blogs, even in comments on other blogs -- can dramatically increase the number of visitors on any given day. And every time this blog reaches new readers, some stick around.

So to those of you who have been Tweeting and Redditing (and commenting about, and StumbleUpon-ing) Man Boobz, I thank you. Seriously. Please do it more, more, more! And if you haven't yet, and you like this blog, please start! The little buttons on the bottom of each post make it pretty straightforward.  (If you post it on Reddit, send me a link or post it in a comment and I'll go vote the submission up.)

One more thing: T-shirts, after a long delay on my part, are coming! (And coffee mugs, and stickers, and who knows what else.) Not immediately, but pretty soon, with the generous artistic assistance of Shaenon and JohnnyKaje. The first two: "we hunted the mammoth to feed you" and "underneath that fun cupcake is a MONSTER." My plan is to sell some of them at cost, and others for $5 or $10 above cost, with the profits going 100% to a well-run, appropriate charity. Something like that. Still working out the details. If you have thoughts about a good charity, let me know.

Tee Shirt Time

Inspired by these guys, I'm thinking of offering some Man Boobz t-shirts, and possibly some other cool blog swag, either through CafePress or one of its competitors. I'll either sell them at cost or donate whatever meager profits I make to some deserving charity.

My plan is to use some quotes from the boobs, maybe add some clever graphics. (One slogan per shirt.) So far here are some possibilities, and links to where they're from:
